Here is the Minolta MD 50mm 1.4 (49) on a NEX 5 a few month ago. And a couple of close up flower pictures with this lens and the NEX5. Used a Canon 350D close up lens mounted on the lens to get a little closer.

4 years agoI am thinking of buying a used Minolta 50mm as a cheap fast portrait lens for my A6000. Wondering if anyone knows what adapter is available and/or how much it would be? I have seen A mount adapters to E mount from Sony that cost $400. Hoping I dont need those as I have seen ones claiming to work for NEX/Alphas for $8-$14 on Amazon and Ebay.

*edit: from some other searching: so is it the more exspensive $400 adapter that will allow for auto focus? and transmission of aperture data? Im guessing the cheaper ones only allow for manual focus?

If anyone could provide any insight it would be super appreciated, thank you!
